From Funky to Fantastic
This client came back to us for round two of their home renovations; this time for the first floor, including a transformation of the funky kitchen design from the 1980s. The original space had a unique layout with awkward angles and a sink bump-out which affected the natural flow of the room. In renovating the space, we established clean lines and an even flow, while simultaneously creating more room overall and adding much needed storage space. In addition to the beauty of this home is the property it sits on, so another goal was to highlight the views to the outside. We reorganized the kitchen layout, removing the very tight seating area, and extended the room, resulting in a more functional layout while capturing the essence of the landscape views. This was a case where we took a small and cramped kitchen and came up with smart solutions to result in more space, more greenery, and more smiles for anyone entering the home.
