A Bright Expansion
This was an interesting project because the kitchen was centered in the home in an atypical location and configuration. The goal was not only to expand the kitchen but to bring in more natural light, creating a connection to the dining area. This presented an opportunity to look within rather than build out. Instead of putting a new addition on, we turned the existing three-car garage into a two-car garage and turned the third bay of the garage into a laundry room/mud room as well as a spectacular walk-in pantry with all the storage one could ever need. This allowed us to remove part of the cabinetry in the existing kitchen to promote the outdoor views and vistas.
