Three-Season Relaxation

This backyard features a swimming pool that was well utilized, but the only way to access it was over an old wood splintered deck. In addition, the family had been dodging the sun with a makeshift store-bought canopy that was problematic in the wind. The new plan was to create a space with more usable square footage that would be an extension of the home in at least three seasons. We began by demolishing the existing deck and adding footings to build a more permanent structure, designing it to be large enough to contain an outdoor kitchen, bar area, and gathering space. Incorporating outdoor electric and radiant heaters tucked up in the ceiling allows for the homeowners and their guests to relax, enjoy, and watch their beloved sports teams nearly year round!
