Bring in the Light

Our very first project for this repeat client was the primary suite renovation and garage. It’s not always easy to add a bedroom and primary bath to a home, especially when there is a septic system. In this case, we turned one of the existing bedrooms into the primary bath, pushed out the attic space over the existing garage and converted it into the new primary bedroom, while adding an additional garage bay below for balance, extra space, and structural integrity. Rather than completely reconfiguring the space to have the primary bath within the same room, we kept it as an adjacent bathroom, providing the same usage as a primary suite, while also being available as an additional bathroom, accessible from the hallway. In addition, with the extra space available, we were able to create a walk-in closet, with custom shelves for shoes and a custom jewelry and accessories cabinet.
