Classic French Country

If a picture tells a thousand words, this kitchen says it all. Check out the before pictures to see what we mean. This was our second time back to this home for a major project. The first time was for the pool house. Working with a client again is the best of both worlds. The comfort and trust level is already established, as is understanding their unique design fingerprint. Our clients are the original owners of their home and after 25+ years, it was time for a change and a complete transformation. This is a great example of reorganizing an existing space and checking all the wish list boxes. Starting with a generously sized kitchen, we opened up the overall space and paired it with the dining room that was previously a second living room. The original sink location was in the middle of the room, and by moving it to an exterior wall, we were able to capture the beauty of the outdoors.

There are lots of gems and unique elements throughout, including the oven from France. The deep green cabinetry with gold metal criss-cross front brings to mind an apothecary or vintage hardware store, while the center island is a showpiece with its custom handcrafted wood. The arches in the middle of the room separate the kitchen from the dining room and were extra special to the client who was integral in tracing out the shapes. Utilizing every square inch of space, we were able to provide storage solutions as well as an entirely separate butler’s pantry, complete with a hidden door entrance on one side. The finished project is a homeowner’s dream, whether for their everyday lifestyle or special times with friends and family.

P.S. A few years later, we were able to pick up our sign and move it right next door to renovate the neighbor’s kitchen!
