Once in a while, we work with a client who is also a designer, as with this truly expressive kitchen, and “where unique architectural style and beauty seamlessly meets demanding functionality” is how Carol describes the finished product. Rearranging the floor plan, we created a layout that works for a family, while optimizing the flow for the clients who are big foodies and love entertaining.

A “California Style” kitchen, the layout combines Spanish style architecture with 1960’s/1970’s style contemporary elements, balancing the high ceilings and tall windows with the elongated galley-inspired kitchen. Tiger maple cabinetry is juxtaposed with accent colors, creating an atmosphere reflecting the client’s eclectic touch, while the majestic windows bring in natural light providing just the right contrast to the deep rich textures throughout.
