Storage Drama
A renovation doesn’t always need to involve major construction changes in order to transform it into a showpiece. Everything in this kitchen stayed relatively close to the existing footprint, yet we were able to attain a dramatic change and a big reveal. One goal was to increase storage space as much as possible. Working within the existing square footage, we made smart changes to the layout, including removing the walk-in pantry. We built cabinetry along an entire wall instead, resulting in a more spacious feel, while also providing plenty of storage. As some of the “children” of our clients have four legs and a tail, an additional feature of the large center island incorporates a large roll-out with a dedicated area for dog food containers. Adding an accent color on the walls added a refreshing touch to the aesthetic presentation overall and everyone was happy, including the pups!
This was a three-part renovation! Check out the adjoining mudroom and dog bath and the outdoor patio just off the kitchen.
